Kenpo Freestyle Fighting videos 1 & 2

I have to say that this was a refreshing video series to watch. In fact it seemed to go on and on. The topic of this video is Freestyle sparring. There are several very memorable sections on these videos. One includes Master Steven Muhammad (BKF 10^th degree) and the other includes an extended section by Robert Temple (BKF 8^th Degree). Throughout the video various high-ranking IKCA instructors (including Sullivan & LeRoux) give mini-sessions on various sparring concepts. Also through out the video there are examples of people freestyle sparring and actual matches within tournaments with narration describing the action as it unfolds. For a game fighter this tape will provide both motivation and a look at how other instructors approach different areas within sparring, while for the beginner there may be a sense of information overload. I personally feel it is a good tape and shows that the IKCA is full of what we refer to as “meat eaters”, and that’s a good and respectable thing.
