Inside the Lion's Den: The Life and Submission Fighting System of Ken Shamrock

By Ken Shamrock & Richard Hanner   ISBN 0-8048-3151-3

I was sick for about 2 weeks and couldn't do any physical activities. During that time I read this book. Personally I enjoyed it a lot. The first half of the book is Mr. Shamrock's life story as told by reporter Richard Hanner. The man had a hard life, he's made some bad decisions, but has always had a since of honor. This part of the book is a page turner. You want to know what happens next. It's written in such a way that as his life is being recounted every so often we're brought back to the present as he prepares for another fight and the trials that take place before, during and after each. The second half of the book is just as good. Some basic drills, training philosophy and actual submission tactics are explained. I had fun reading this book.
