Quantum Kenpo: Pulling the Pieces Together - ISBN 0-9652672-3-7 Kenpo Theory: The "Why" - ISBN 0-9652672-4-5 By Lee Bachman First let me say I ordered these books directly from Mr. Bachman via the internet (www.Infinitykenpo.com) and it took him no time to get the book to me. More than I can say for Ryukyu Books, but that's another story. There aren't a lot of graphics in Quantum Kenpo. The diagrams that are present are basic and serve to clarify particular points. The principles he covers are sound and do as he says, work on "pulling the pieces together". He breaks the book down into Laying the Groundwork, Motion, Theories, Nature of the Art and Closing Notes. You can tell this book is written by a person who loves Kenpo. He touches on a lot of different points. He doesn't go into great depth on any one topic, but gives an overview of many. He touches on points just enough that if you have a strong backgound in Kenpo then you can understand exactly what he's talking about or if you don't know that much you want to learn more. I feel like I walked away with another way of looking at Kenpo concepts when I finished this book. Give it a shot. Kenpo Theory: The "Why" This was the 2nd book by Mr. Bachman that I've had the pleasure to read. This book is in my opinion a continuation of Quantum Kenpo with many improvements. Once again he touches on many Kenpo principles and concepts, but they are more minute ones that separate the o.k. or good Kenpoist from the better or very good Kenpoist. This book is complete with a host of diagrams and photos on almost every page that help illustrate concepts such as Reverse Motion vs Returning Motion. Once again I think Mr. Bachman has done the "art" a service by sharing the concepts that it is based on at a very reasonable price to make it accessible to the masses.
