II & III deal with basics (i.e. Stances, Maneuvers, Blocks and Strikes) Vol. IV deals with a lot (Zone Theories, Target Areas and Concepts and Principles) and Vol. V deals with the first 3 forms, the idea of Mr. Parker's Web of Knowledge, Recommended self defense techniques, Theory and Concepts behind illustrated Kenpo techniques. Also each book has a Glossary of Kenpo Terminology. These books are a must for every Kenpo beginner. I wish my instructor would have required me to read them when I first started.
